A Simple Video That Explains Your Service Before the Call
CHC GROWTH INSIGHTS · PRACTICAL GUIDES
In this guide
Plan a short service explainer that answers common questions and helps potential customers understand what happens during an appointment.
Some visitors hesitate because they cannot picture what happens after they book. A short explainer video can give them that picture without forcing them through a long presentation.
Answer four useful questions
Who is the service for? What problem does it address? What happens first? What should the viewer do next? Write those answers before deciding on music, transitions, or a filming location.
For an appointment explainer, begin with a human introduction. Describe the purpose of the conversation and the information that would help. Clarify whether it happens by phone, video, or in person. Explain any cost and avoid implying that booking commits someone to buying.
Make the footage match the promise
An illustrative service video might show someone explaining a project plan, then walking through the questions a customer can expect. Use authentic examples and distinguish demonstrations from actual customer work.
Keep the spoken language close to the way you would answer a customer in person. Read the script aloud. If a sentence is hard to say naturally, simplify it.
Support viewers who do not watch
Provide captions and a written explanation of the important details. Put the booking button and contact information near the video. The page should still make sense if someone cannot play the media or chooses to skim.
Check the video on a phone, including audio clarity and text size. Review whether the call to action matches the next page. A video asking viewers to book should not send them to a generic page with no obvious calendar.
Start with a clear explanation, then improve the presentation as you learn what customers ask.
